The name chelation is taken from the Greek word chele which means "claw".

Eliminate heavy metals using Calcium EDTA, the treatment is only 20 minutes per session. 10 session are recommended before re-testing the levels. A vitamin drip is given after 5 sessions to replace minerals and vitamins. Kidney function will be checked after 5 sessions.

Intravenous therapy uses the synthetic amino acid EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid) which has the ability to "bond" or "hook onto" atoms of calcium, lead, cadmium, the EDTA are eliminated from the body through the kidneys into the urine. It is used for patients with heavy metal poisoning, from lead to mercury. Typically 20-30 treatments are necessary; for removal of mercury we give oral DMSA or Chemet 2-3x a week for ten to twelve weeks, as well as a repeat urine check for the heavy metals.
